At Wellness through Movement-Qigong with Dr. Rita, we believe that true wellness is a harmonious blend of body, mind, and spirit. My journey began 3 decades ago when my own fast-paced lifestyle as a holistic health care professional, CEO of a psychology clinic, wife and mother of 2 young children led to stress and disconnection from myself and nature. Joint pains and feelings of exhaustion and stress were persistent; and western medicine and gym workouts did not alleviate the conditions. A thorough search through medical journals emphasizing both Western and Eastern Healing Techniques led me to Qigong, a 4000-year-old practice directly out of Chinese Medicine.
